Jil Bentz

Jil Bentz is a Luxemburgish architect and head of Studio Jil Bentz since 2018. She received her undergraduate degree in architecture with distinction in 2010 from the Technical University in Munich. In 2014 she graduated from the University of Arts in Berlin in architectural studies. Her final project got distinguished with the Max Taut-Award for the best architectural contribution in the academic year 2013-2014. After gaining two years of work experience at Sauerbruch Hutton, Jil continued her architectural studies in a postgraduate program at Columbia University New York, where she received the highest honor for her diploma project in 2017. She taught with Prof. Kersten Geers in New York at Columbia University and at EPFL in Lausanne.

Hendrik Brinkmann

Hendrik Brinkmann is a German architect and a permanent freelancer at Studio Jil Bentz. He received his Bachelor in architecture at MSA-Münster School of Architecture in 2013 and his Master in Architecture at the University of Arts Berlin in 2017. Over the course of his academic career, he received several awards for his work: the AIV-Schinkel-Sonderpreis in 2016, the Detail Stipendium in 2017 and the YTA Award in 2018 to name a few. Hendrik maintains strong ties to academia and currently works as an assistant at the Technical University Berlin in Prof. Jan Kampshoff’s DE/CO chair. Earlier in his career he taught with Prof. Jean-Philippe Vassal at UdK and Prof. Marc Mer at MSA.
